BoomerCo is an online publishing company focused on serving the needs and interests of Baby Boomers, and founded by Anne & Steve Holmes, a pair of Baby Boomers who have been working together – and online — since 1994. From day one, our company has followed a simple, but powerful vision – that happiness and passion, as well as a vision of helping others, can and should be an integral part of what you do.
We founded the company in order to help our fellow Baby Boomers, because we know how important it is to be true to yourself, and your ideals, and we want to help other Boomers benefit from building their own businesses based on this thesis.

BoomerCo’s roots date back to 1994, when co-owner Anne Holmes founded Anne Holmes & Associates, as a solo practice public relations and marketing firm whose mission was to provide superior public relations and marketing services to our clients by leveraging the latest in business technology, and merging it with solid marketing skills to effectively solve clients’ communication challenges. (Keep in mind that this was pre-World Wide Web…though the Internet did exist, as a non-graphical – and totally non-commercial – entity.)
A pivotal point in that firm’s evolution came when, in 1995, Anne and Steve attended one of the world’s first Internet marketing conferences, Internet World, in San Jose, California. The founders of Yahoo were speakers, and Marc Andreessen, who had only just founded Mosaic Communications Corp. — which later became Netscape — was an exhibitor. Talk about heady times for early adopters…
Shortly after that eye-opening experience, Steve left his position as IT Director for Palmer Chiropractic University System, where he had overseen the technological integration of three separate college campuses (Iowa, California and Florida), via the installation of a T1 line, and the adoption of campus-wide email, to join Anne and oversee the firm’s web design services.
